Welcome to Dentdale

 

The valley of Dentdale in Cumbria and North Yorkshire, England, takes its name from the village of Dent.

The Dent Fault runs along the valley, marking a geological boundary between the carbonferous limestone of Deepdale and the Craven Dales to the south and the older Silurian rocks of the Howgill Fells to the north.

The world famous Settle-Carlisle Railway cuts across the top of the dale at Dent Head.
